The setting alone could have stolen the show. The villa — perched above Cannes with sweeping views over the Baie de Cannes and the Estérel hills beyond — was one of those places that makes you catch your breath and then quietly exhale in gratitude. Intimate yet grand, lush yet refined, it offered the kind of backdrop that no production designer could have improved upon. As guests arrived, greeted by warm evening air and the gentle hum of a night already charged with purpose, there was a palpable sense that this was not just another Cannes soirée. 

The Bee Wild Association has been working to protect wild bee populations across France and beyond — a mission as urgent as it is poetic — and this evening was both a celebration of their work and a call to arms for those who believe that caring for our ecosystems is an act of culture, not just of ecology. The cause found its perfect audience here: people who understand instinctively that what we protect shapes what we can savour.

AIX Rosé was honoured to be part of the evening, and we like to think the wine felt at home. After all, AIX Rosé is born from the same land these bees pollinate — the limestone terroirs and sun-drenched vineyards of Provence that Nicolas Quiles tends with the same respect for the living world that Bee Wild so passionately defends. As bottles were opened and conversations flowed between filmmakers, activists, winemakers and tastemakers, the connection between glass and garden felt not just metaphorical but deeply real. 

Every sip of AIX Rosé carries within it the work of countless pollinators, the patience of a season, the intelligence of a winemaker who listens to his terroir. Evenings like this are a reminder of why we do what we do — not merely to produce a wine, but to celebrate a way of living in harmony with the land.
